cello
Matteo Maria Zurletti was born in Rome in 1969 by a family of musicians: her mother is a pianist and her father is a music critic and a music teacher.
He begins to study the cello at six years under the guidance of G. Martorana.
As a child he goes to the concerts with his father, breathing the air of the most important Italian and foreign concert halls and listening aloud to the interpretations of the greatest performers in the world or the lyrical productions.
At the same time he has the opportunity to study with the constant help of a professional pianist at home and try all the duo repertoire or play in trio with his mother and sister (violinist), thus beginning his theoretical and practical music training.
He fonds together with his mother and sister the Ensemble "Igrà" who, originally born as a trio, changes from time to time its structure, adapting from time to time to the repertoire.
He is the cello player of the Ensemble "Algorithm", one of the most important Italian formations specialized in contemporary music.
His concert activity leads him to perform for important music associations throughout Italy and abroad (London, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Chile, Bogota, Caracas, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Vancouver) and has watched it many times with live radio broadcasts for the third channel of Radio Rai.
Since 1998 he has collaborated with the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto as a teacher at the various training courses (orchestral and music of the '900) and Primo Violoncello.
It plays a Tyrolean instrument Bartolomeo Karner of the mid-eighteenth century.
