Graduating in violin at the Conservatory of Brescia under the guidance of Anna Bonomelli, he worked professionally with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and the Italian Youth Orchestra.
At the Fiesole School, where he attended professional qualification courses for orchestra, he began studying the viola with F. Merlini and P. Farulli, further improving his performing talents at the Chigiana Academy of Siena with Jurij Bashmet, with a scholarship and a merit diploma.
He has played with important Italian institutions (La Scala Theatre, La Scala Philarmonic Orchestra, Festival of the two Worlds in Spoleto, Gasparo da Salò of Brescia, Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano, Aram of Rome) and performed chamber music in various Italian ensembles (Ensemble Artaria, Artis Ensemble, Quartetto Crescendo, Eco ensemble).
As a soloist, he performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante K 364 with the violinist M. Quarta, 1991 Paganini Prize and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano.
He teaches ensemble Music and String Quartet at the Conservatory of Genova.
He plays an 1813 G. Ceruti (Cremona) viola.
